Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church

What is adoration, and why should you go?
Adoration is quiet prayer with Jesus who is visible, exposed and truly present in the Host in the monstrance. It is a statement of your faith in His true presence in the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration is prayer. It is a very personal prayer of thanks, worship, petition. And silence. It is being with Him and listening to Him. It is an act of love for Him.

What do you do while you are in there?
Just walk in, kneel down and start to pray. Any silent prayer is good. Some people read the Bible or other religious books, pray the rosary or just look at Him. Talk to Him. Listen to Him. Time spent with Him will change you and bring you closer to Him.

How do you sign up?
Each hour is assigned to a specific person to ensure that the Blessed Sacrament is never left alone.  Sign-up forms are available here and in hard copy at the back of the church. For more information, please contact Jeff & Christie Janke.

"How great is the value of converse with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, for there is nothing more consoling on earth, nothing more efficacious for advancing along the road to holiness."
(Pope Paul VI)
