The purpose of the Meals Ministry is to provide meals to IHM parishioners who need a little help for various reasons. The need may be based on a temporary situation such as a family illness or an ongoing situation where a regular, home cooked meal would be most welcomed.
The parish freezer is usually stocked with several home cooked meals such as casseroles, stews and soups which can be easily defrosted and heated for immediate consumption. This ministry also delivers home cooked meals to several elderly parish members on a fairly consistent basis.

There are lots of great cooks in our parish
who can probably think of a dozen freezable meals without consulting a cookbook.
For the rest of us, there are many wonderful resources on the Internet to help with
this endeavor. Just type "freezable recipes" into your search engines or
Please contact Ruth Doyle
with questions or if you are interested in participating.
Thank you and God Bless you for your generosity.
